COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Update for Good Shepherd Parish

Updated 17th October 2021

  • Good Shepherd Catholic Church will be open to our entire community from Monday, 18th of October for Public Worship.
  • "4 square metre rule" will apply and masks will be mandatory until further notice.
  • QR Code Check-in via the Service NSW App would still be required; those without a mobile will be able to register on a registration form on site.
  • 6:00am Mass will commence on the 25th of October.
  • Cleaning of the pews will be required after every service.

Regarding Weekend Masses

  • There will be no online bookings.
  • Admittance will be on a first-in, best dressed basis.
  • There will be a limit of 130 people in attendance in the church. The rest would be provided with chairs outside.
  • Due to limited numbers allowed in the church an extra Mass will be added on Sunday starting from the 24th of October at 4:00pm until we move to the "2 square metre rule".
  • Please follow the instructions of the ushers and be kind towards them.

The dispensation from Sunday Mass obligation remains in place (Canon 1247, Canons 85 and 87, and Catechism of the Catholic Church 2180-2188). Once the dispensation is lifted it will be communicated to everyone.

Please inform and share with your family and friends about these new changes for the coming weekend.

I hope you understand that we are doing our best and the necessary steps are taken for the good of all and in compliance with NSW health.

Fr. Vincy D'Costa, ofmcap
